Art Vancouver 2025 was masterfully curated by Taisha Teal (@taishatealart) and Sky Lilah (@skylilah.art), whose vision for an inclusive, dynamic festival brought together over 100 galleries and countless art lovers under one roof.
From April 24–27, 2025, the Convention Centre’s West Building pulsed with live demonstrations, interactive installations, and a dedicated Emerging Artists zone. A standout moment was LUCID’s sleek EV display—attendees could actually sit inside the car, blending automotive design with contemporary art in a uniquely immersive crossover.
Artist Spotlight
- Emma Zhao (scoogadoodles), a high‑school graduate now in her second year at Art Vancouver, expanded from a mini display last year to a full exhibit co‑curated with a fellow emerging artist.
- Chi‑Ling Wang (sophia.watercolor) enchanted visitors with exquisite watercolor pieces—and gifted me a stunning sticker set showcasing her art, a personal highlight of the fair.
Iwalewa Gallery of Art (@iwalewagalleryofart) traveled all the way from Nigeria, presenting a vibrant roster of West African talents. Their booth was a hub of color and conversation, underscoring the fair’s commitment to global cultural exchange.
There were too many incredible artists to mention, but I chatted with most exhibitors—and the vibe was electric. From established painters to first‑time showgoers, everyone shared their passion generously. A special nod to Didy Li (@lordddee), the dedicated art curator always at her mother’s booth, tirelessly guiding visitors through each piece.
