The Fox Cabaret

Mount Pleasant's Retro-Futurist Gem

From "Sleaze" to Swank

Once the city's last 35mm adult cinema (operating notoriously for 30 years as the Fox Cinema), this venue was radically reimagined in 2014 by the Arrival Agency. Now a "cultural space" with a 40-foot ceiling and original neon signage, it balances its gritty history with high-design aesthetics, serving as a cornerstone of the Mount Pleasant arts scene.

Two Floors, Two Vibes

The ground floor Cabaret is a flexible performance hall featuring a massive 18.5-foot cinema screen for multimedia acts. Upstairs, the Projection Room (capacity ~50-80) offers a completely different experience: an intimate cocktail bar designed with leopard print and high-end Bocci lighting, often hosting smaller comedy shows or DJ sets.

Programming Diversity

The Fox is a community hub. It hosts the legendary weekly comedy show The Sunday Service, queer-inclusive events like "Thrive with Pride," and nostalgic dance parties ("Ultimate 90s Night") that define its weekend nightlife identity.

Film Industry Hub

Leveraging its authentic "cabaret" aesthetic and high ceilings, the venue is actively marketed as a location for film and TV shoots ("Hollywood North"), frequently hosting wrap parties and serving as a set for performance sequences.
